Adult Program
Adult Program Director Courageous Sailing Center, a premier non-profit, sailing organization in Boston Harbor, is seeking superior candidates for the position of Adult Program Director. This opportunity will fit an excellent sailor and manager seeking a long-term commitment to a career-building position. The successful candidate will combine: outstanding sailing knowledge and experience, strong boat maintenance skills, sales ability and passion for customer service, exceptional communications and interpersonal ability, proven leadership and management success, and the drive to excel as part of a motivated, fast-paced and goal-driven management team. Duties include: Responsibility for all adult sailing, including racing, cruising, instruction, customer events; meeting and exceeding sales targets for the 350-plus member adult program; supervising adult program staff; responsibility for maintenance of 50+ boat fleet and supervision of maintenance staff; contributing to senior management team of growing, dynamic nonprofit organization. Requirements include: extensive racing and cruising experience; extensive race management experience; US Sailing certification or ability to gain it by May 1; current CPR and First Aid certification; B.A. or equivalent; minimum two years’ supervisory experience; solid writing, MS Word and Excel skills. Desirable qualifications include USCG Captain’s license; MS Access, web experience; US Sailing Instructor trainer; boat and fiberglass repair experience. Benefits include health plan and IRA. Courageous Sailing Center is a non-profit, founded in 1987 to teach children of all backgrounds lessons in partnership and trust, while delivering a first-class sailing experience. The adult program is our largest source of funding. While the Adult Program Director primarily serves adult members, all Courageous senior staff act as role models and work to further our mission of providing a fun, safe, accessible environment that promotes positive life skills and values by means of the sport of sailing.

Adult Program Instructor
We also need 2 people to assist with pre-season boat work and facility preparation for the summer season, beginning in late March. Experience with fiberglass and gel coat repairs a plus.
