Courageous Staff

Courageous has a small core group of 6 year-round staff that is supplemented with instructors and maintenance staff throughout the year and balloons to nearly 100 during the sailing season.  We are very fortunate to have the following staff as part of our year-round Management Team.  Please click here for complete contact information.

• Miguel Corti, Interim Executive Director

Miguel is responsible for the general management of Courageous Sailing, fundraising and community relations, and overall oversight of the fleet and sailing programs at Courageous.  In addition, Miguel heads up our membership sales efforts, directs our group and corporate outings and rental of Pier 4 for events.  Miguel brings to Courageous a world-class sailing background and strong business and customer service skills.

• Dave DiLorenzo, Director of Adult Programs

Dave oversees our adult membership and instruction programs.  Dave recruits, trains and manages instructors for our course offerings and manages the day-to-day operations of the membership program (general memberships, cruising memberships, etc.).  Dave also develops all membership programming from regularly scheduled racing to camping trips and social events.

• Kate Henderson, Director of Youth Programs

Kate is responsible for managing all of our FREE youth progams.  From after-school programs to our Summer Youth Program, Kate manages nearly 65 instructors and other staff to allow nearly 1,200 youth to sail with Courageous each year.

• Sarah Donahue, Office Manager

Sarah is responsible for keeping the office up and running and keeping everyone on task from everything from payroll, to accounts receivable and accounts payable.  Sarah also has key responsibilities relating to special event logistics and coordination.
