Once the wind cooperated, Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day of racing with 23 boats on the line. We spent nearly an hour in postponement out on the harbor due to incredibly fickle wind conditions. The predicted northwesterly was present in the morning, but by the time we got out to the course it had become a confused easterly that slowly sputtered out into 0 knots. Finally the sea breeze filled in and by 12:50 were starting a race in an 8 knot southerly that remained fairly consistent and steady for a couple hours. We were able to get 6 races off, even though the breeze got lighter and lighter over the last two races.
Scores for Day 14 - Mark Lindsey and Jim Watson dominated, followed by incredibly tight (read: places 2,3, and 4 all scored 21 pts..) competition between the Lee/Breslin, Clancy/Moulthrop, and Gallagher/Olson boats.
Spring Series Clancy the Younger & Co. leading, followed by the Gallagher / Olson and Marston / Brand teams.
