Whether it’s your first time on a boat or you have years of experience under your belt, when it comes to sailing there’s always more to learn. We offer a wide range of courses, led by expert US Sailing certified instructors. Our classes are extremely hands-on and are kept small (usually no more than three students in the boat with an instructor) for a highly individualized learning experience. While our group classes are geared towards adults (18+), we are more than happy to set up private lessons for families or individuals of any age and experience level. You do not need to be a Courageous member to take a course.
The Adult Program course schedule will be posted by January 15, 2014, and you’ll be able to register for specific courses then. In the meantime, please let us know your ideal course dates or general time frame when you purchase your course. In general, 24-hour courses (Basic Keelboat Complete and Basic Cruising) take place over two consecutive weekends, Saturday/Sunday/Saturday/Sunday from 10-4:30 each day, with a half hour hour lunch break. 12-hour courses tend to follow a consecutive Saturday/Saturday or Sunday/Sunday schedule, from 10-4:30 each day, with a half hour hour lunch break. Basic Keelboat Parts 1 and 2 can also be taken in a single weekend, or in 3-hour intervals on weekday evenings. Please refer to the individual course descriptions for more information. If our regularly set courses do not work with your schedule, we’ll be glad to arrange private lessons or match you up with other students with similar schedule requirements.
