Fundraisers
Courageous Sailing Center holds three signature fundraisers each year:
- Make a Mark gala: Dance the night away at the foot of the Boston skyline!
- Courageous Challenge Regatta Race alongside your coworkers for five Monday nights this summer.
- College Bowl Regatta and Tailgate Party Rejuvenate old college rivalries while representing your alma mater as a sailor or fundraiser
11th Annual, Make A Mark Gala- July 12, 2007

General Gala Tickets ($75.00/ticket): Buy your ticket now by using your credit card through a secure on-line website, click below to buy your ticket.
VIP Tickets($150/ticket): These VIP Level tickets are available! Each 2 Patron Level tickets purchased by July 4th entitles you to a free night accommodation at the Commodore's Inn, Stowe, VT (midweek, non-holiday) and a complimentary beverage at the Stowe Yacht Club!
In 2006, this fun and lively evening doubled as a remarkable resource for Courageous raising over $100,000 in support our free youth sailing programs. Thanks to all those who supported this event and we hope to see you all on the pier in 2007!
Festivities include:
- Dancing and Refreshments
Partygoers will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a light dinner, and cocktails while you dance the night away to the 21-piece Compaq Big Band.
- Youth Program Regatta
Courageous' youth, students and instructors, will offer gala goers a front row seats for a sailing regatta off the end of Pier 4 on Boston Harbor. Attendees will be able to watch Courageous youth showcase their sailing skills!
- Live Auction/Silent Auction
In 2006 auction items included a TPC golf course outing, sports tickets, weekend getaways, sailing gear and much more! The 2006 auction is shaping up to be full of fantastic items!
- Sail In & Sleep Over
You can add to the fun of Make A Mark by staying over. Sail your boat to Pier 4 and after the Gala you can extend the party on your own boat. Courageous will provid the dock space.
Courageous Challenge- May 21, June 4, 11, 18, and 25 2007
Courageous' most popular and successful corporate fundraiser is the
Courageous Challenge.
For 5 Monday nights from May 21nd to June 25th, various Boston corporations raced with their respective crews and enjoyed a light sunset buffet on Pier 4. The Challenge was a terrific regatta series in 2006! We hope to see all of you for 2007. The Challenge is a great corporate teambuilding opportunity!
College Bowl- May 19, 2007
Kick off the sailing season at the Courageous College Bowl yearly, on the Saturday before Labor Day, at the Courageous Sailing Center on Boston Harbor. This charity regatta and barbeque benefit the Youth Program, serving close to 1000 children each season by promoting life skills and positive values through the sport of sailing. The College Bowl Regatta calls on sailors and non-sailors alike to fire up your school spirit for a great day of uniquely Boston fun. In a city known for its educational tradition, alumni from many schools will come out for this great cause. While sailors are on the water, an afternoon party will commences on the pier. The party, inspired by classic collegiate tailgates, includes beer and BBQ fare and an awards ceremony.
